HEAL Program

Welcome to the Humanities, Ethics/Economics, Arts and the Law (HEAL) Program List Serve!

The mailing list will be used to update users about events in a timely manner and serve as a forum where our community can interact asynchronously and continue conversations related to medicine’s intersection with the arts and humanities. Faculty and students interested in the health humanities will also be able to post, connect, and find projects and common interests in the service of growing the HEAL community on campus.

About HEAL
Keck School of Medicine’s HEAL Program, with its emphasis on humanities, ethics, economics, art and law, promotes each student’s professional formation and exploration of his or her own values and motivations for pursuing the calling of medicine. Through deliberative engagement in these fields, Keck School of Medicine students, as well as faculty and staff, are encouraged to explore ethical decision-making, cultural differences in worldview and the complexities of the interpretive act — the multiple ways of knowing — that are essential to the effective practice of the healing arts.
